Raising Cane's Training Recertification Practice Test

The appropriate substance to add to the Bird sink water is Dawn Pot and Pan Detergent, as it is designed specifically for food service environments. This type of detergent is effective for breaking down grease and food particles, ensuring that dishes and utensils are cleaned thoroughly and safely. Using the right detergent not only assists in maintaining hygiene but also ensures compliance with health and safety regulations in food establishments.

In contrast, the other options do not align with safe and effective cleaning practices. Regular dish soap may not possess the necessary degreasing power required for commercial cleaning. Adding bleach could pose a risk of chemical reactions and contamination, while all-purpose cleaner is typically not designed for use with dishware and might leave residues that are harmful if ingested. Therefore, using Dawn Pot and Pan Detergent is the recommended choice for maintaining cleanliness in the Bird sink.
